CHITTAGONG UNIVERSITY: A few sacks crammed with local weapons were seized from three dormitories of Chittagong University in a drive conducted early Tuesday (February 20). 

Police carried out the drive at Shahjalal, Shah Amanat and Suhrawardy Halls, following a clash between two rival groups of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) at the campus Tuesday evening (February 19).

The weapons include two LGs, machete, stones and other local weapons. CU authority assisted the law enforcers to carry out the drive.
 
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Belal Uddin of Hathazari police station said several persons were taken to police station for interrogation.
