DHAKA: The government has decided to scrap the multiple choice questions (MCQs) in the Primary Education Completion (PEC) examinations from this year, to avoid question paper leaks.
The exams will have total competency-based or creative questions, said Primary and Mass Education Minister Mustafizur Rahman Tuesday (April 3).
“The exams to be held in upcoming November won’t have any MCQ. (The examinees) have to write answers,” he said.
The minister was briefing the reporters, on occasion of announcing the PEC scholarship exam results, at the secretariat.
However, Bangladesh introduced PEC exams in 2009 and included up to 80 percent creative questions in it 2017.
