RU: Miscreants stabbed a bus driver of Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET) to death near Sheikh Hasina Hall on the campus on Monday night (April 23). 

The deceased was identified as Abdus Salam, 55.
He used to live in the staff quarters of the varsity. 

Ruet officials’ association president Golam Mostofa told Banglanews that several miscreants attacked Abdus Salam while he was crossing Sheikh Hasina Hall, en route to the quarters at the night.

“They left the scene after stabbing him indiscriminately. Hearing screaming, he was rescued and admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMC) where on-duty physician pronounced him dead”. 

Stab marks were found on Salam’s whole body, added Mostofa.

Motihar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahbub Alam said that they have already started investigation to identify the attacker (s).
