DHAKA: The results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations were published on Sunday morning (May 6) with overall pass percentage of 77.77.
Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Gana Bhaban around 10:00am.
Chairmen of 10 education boards were present here.
Education minister will formally announce the results through a press briefing at his secretariat office around 12:00pm.
A total of 1,10,629 students scored GPA-5 which is 6,132 higher than the previous year as 1,04,761 students achieved GPA-5 in 2017.
This year, a total of 2,031,889 students under 10 educational boards took part in the examination.
The results can be seen on www.educationboardresults.gov.bd after publishing the results formally.
Besides, candidates can also know their results from mobile phones through SMS (Short Message Service) in the following order:
SSC <> first three letters of the board <> Roll No <> 2018 and send to 16222.
Candidates of Madrasah boards will have to write Dakhil <> MAD <> Roll No <> 2018 and send to 16222.
Besides, the candidates of Technical education board can send their message in the following order:
SSC <> TEC <> Roll No <> 2018 and send to 16222.
