DHAKA: The Registrar of Jahangirnagar University (JU) Abu Bakar Siddik and Deputy Registrar Abu Hasan remained confined for seven straight days.

Meanwhile, protesting teachers took position in front of the residence of vice-chancellor demanding his resignation.

Besides, teachers’ sit-in and vice-chancellor’s sit-in against teachers’ demo and work abstention by officials halted all the academic activities, classes and exams of the varsity.

Since Monday, pro-Awami League and pro-BNP teachers have confined the registrars in academic building.
