DHAKA: Some 139 applicants have lost the eligibility to sit for the upcoming 39th BCS (Special) exam as Public Service Commission (PSC) scrapped their applications.
They were denied to apply for not having degrees equivalent to BDS.
BSC in Health or Medical Technology (Dental) aren’t regarded equivalent to BDS degree, said a PSC notice issued on July 31.
“As per decision, the applicants having BSC in Health and Medical Technology (Dental) degrees aren’t fit to apply for the post of Assistant Dental Surgeon,” said the notice.
As per the decision of BMDC, their applications have been cancelled following the conditions mentioned in the circular of 39th BCS, the notice added.
However, the 39th BCS (Special) is scheduled to be held on August 3.
