DHAKA UNIVERSITY: Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof M Akhtaruzzaman said the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) elections will be held within March of 2019.

However, the voter list for the polls will be formulated in October this year, the VC added. 

Prof M Akhtaruzzaman said it to reporters after holding a meeting with different student organizations on Sunday (Sept 16).

The meeting began around 11:30am at the university’s Abdul Matin Chowdhury virtual classroom on Sunday (Sept 16). 

DU pro-VCs (academic and administration), the treasurer, the proctor, assistant proctors, provosts, and hall wardens joined the meeting chaired by Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof M Akhtaruzzaman,

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) central president Rezwanul Huq Chowdhury Shovon, general secretary Golam Rabbani, DU unit president Sanjit Chandra Das mong others joined the meeting.

On the other hand, Bangladesh Chhatra Dal central president Rajib Ahsan, University unit general secretary Abul Bashar Siddique also joined the meeting. 

Moreover, leaders of some leftist student organizations have also joined the DUCSU meeting.
