DHAKA: As many as 10,387 students were absent on the first day of this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations on Saturday (Feb 2).

Besides, 24 examinees were expelled at the exam centers.

A press release was issued disclosing the information signed by Inter-Education Board Sub-Committee President also Dhaka Education Board Chairman Prof Md Ziaul Haq. 

However, as many as 21,35,333 students were supposed to sit for the exams.
