DHAKA: Students’ cabinet elections to the secondary schools and dakhil madrashas will be held countrywide on Thursday (Mar 14).
As many as 1,14,95,618 students are expected to exercise their franchise in the elections whereas the number of candidates stands at 1,83,688.
Education Minister Dipu Moni confirmed the schedule at a press briefing held at the conference room of education ministry Wednesday (Mar 13) afternoon.
The elections will be held to 22,961 educational institutes in eight divisions, she said.
Students too will act as the polling officials during the voting to be held from 9am to 2pm, without any break.
The students’ cabinet election was introduced in 2015.
