DHAKA: Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations will begin across the country from Monday (April 1).
As per routine, the theoretical examinations will conclude on May 11 following which the practical examinations will begin from May 12 and end on May 21.
The examinees must enter the exam centres 30 minutes before the scheduled time.
As many as 13,51,309 students are supposed to sit for the exams.
Of them, 11,38,550 will sit under eight general education boards while 78,451 under madrasa and 1,24,265 under technical education boards.
The exams will be held at as many as 2,580 centers.
Meanwhile, Education Minister Dipu Moni ordered shutdown of all the coaching centers from April 1 to May 6 in a bid to hold the exams in free, fair and cheat-free manner.
