DHAKA: A court here asked police to submit probe report over the murder of former principal of Eden Mohila College Mahfuza Chowdhury Parveen on May 7.
Metropolitan Magistrate Saifuzzaman Sharif on Monday (April 8) set the new date as Alamgir Mazumder, sub inspector of New Market Police Station and also the Investigation officer (IO) of the case failed to submit the report today.
Earlier on February 11, Ismat Kadir Gama, the deceased’s husband, filed the case with New Market Police Station over the murder accusing Reshma and Swapna, two domestic helps of the victim’s house.
The duo has been absconding since after the incident.
Later on February 24, police arrested another domestic help Reshma, 25, an accused in the case filed over the murder of former principal of Eden Mohila College Mahfuza Chowdhury Parveen.
On February 14, lawmen had arrested Swapna, one of two domestic helps and an accused in the case filed over the murder of Mahfuza Parveen, and a person who sent Swapna to the house as domestic help.
Mahfuza Parveen was found murdered at her flat in Sukonna Tower in Science Lab area of the capital city Sunday (Feb 10) night.
Hailed from Gopalganj district, Mahfuza served as principal of Eden Mohila College from Feb 2009 to Apr 2012.
