DHAKA: A court here has issued warrants to arrest 78 persons, including students of Dhaka University (DU), in a case filed over leaking question papers of government job recruitment and university admission tests.
Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Sorafuzzaman Ansari on Wednesday (June 26) passed the order.
The court also asked police to submit a report on implementation of arrest warrant on July 30.
Earlier on June 23, Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police of CID Sumon Kumar Das, also investigation officer of the case, submitted the charge sheet against 125 people including 87 students of Dhaka University before Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court.
The CID had arrested 47 of the 125 suspects, in different times and they are now on bail.
According to charge sheet, many of the accused have acquired wealth of crores of taka by leaking question papers of admission tests in various educational institutes, including Dhaka University, and government recruitment jobs.
Among them, Hafizur Rahman, Ibrahim, Mostafa Kamal and Ayub Ali Bondhan are the key accused.
The CID has filed a case against Uttara West Police Station against them under money laundering law.
In its very first drive, the CID had arrested two DU students -- Mohiuddin Rana and Abdullah Al Mamun --from two of their dormitories.
