RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY (RU): Rajshahi University (RU) discharged a teacher of its Institute of Education and Research (IER) from academic activities on allegation of sexually harassing two female students.  

The decision was taken in a meeting of the institute, its director Prof Abul Hasan Chowdhury told Banglanews Wednesday (July 3).

The two girls filed a General Diary (GD) with police station pleading security claiming that they were pressurized to withdraw the complaints. 

RU formed a three-member committee to run investigation into the complaints.
