COMILLA UNIVERSITY (CU): Comilla University (CU) authorities have decided not to change its name into 'Cumilla' from existing 'Comilla', disobeying the state formed new spelling.

The decision was taken at the 73rd syndicate meeting held on June 24, said a press release issued Wednesday (July 3).   
 
But, the matter will be considered in future, if needed, added the release signed by CU Registrar (additional in-charge) Prof Dr Abu Taher. 

National Implementation Committee for Administrative Reforms (NICAR) changed 'Comilla' into 'Cumilla', at its 115th meeting held on April 2, 2018.
