DHAKA: Results of this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate and its equivalent examinations will be published on July 17 (Wednesday).
Inter-Education Board Coordination Sub-Committee Professor Md. Ziaul Haque informed the matter on Monday (July 8).
He said earlier, letters were sent to the Education Ministry with a proposal for publication of the results of the examinations. The Ministry of Education sent the proposals to the Prime Minister's Office for the date for publication of the results.
As per tradition, Education minister Dipu Moni will hand over the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on that morning. She will formally announce the results.
Later, the minister would publish the results at a press briefing at her secretariat office.
After the briefing, the results will be published simultaneously from respective centre or college and online.
This year, about 13.51 lakh examinees took the HSC and its equivalent tests under ten education boards.
Of them, 11.38 lakh took HSC exams under eight general education boards, 78,451 appeared for Alim exams under madrassah education board and 1.24 lakh sat for HSC vocational exams under technical education board.
HSC exams were held from April 1 to middle of May.
