DHAKA: Bangamata Sheikh Fojilatunnesa Mujib Science and Technology University (BSFMSTU) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Syed Shamsuddin Ahmed told students to dream big to become worthy citizens in future.

"You have to dream big if you want to be successful in life. Besides, a lot of study is must. All the persons in the world reached the peak of success had much bigger dreams. Therefore, you have to pursue the lone dream to succeed," he said.

The VC, as the chief guest, was addressing the freshers' reception of class-XI students of 2019-20 session in Govt. Mohammadpur Model School & College here Saturday (July 27).  

The ceremony was chaired by the college principal Lt Col Kazi Sharif Uddin.

"The greatest Bangali of all time Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has gifted us an independent country. His daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is putting efforts restlessly to implement the visions. The country has been developed in many sectors by her efforts. Changes have been earned in the life standard of people," Prof Dr Syed Shamsuddin said.    

The BSFMSTU VC then asked the students of new generation to uplift the country to national and international spheres; for which they have to acquire overall knowledge through planned dream and hard work.

Vice principal of the college Jahairul Islam, social activist and banker Shameema Akter, students and their guardians took part in the ceremony.
