DHAKA: Admission test for Islamic University (IU) hounors admission session 2019-20 will begin from November 4 and end on November 7 this year.
Candidates’ application procedure will be started form September 15 and it will be continued till October 10 in 2019.
Registrar (Acting) SM Abdul Latif confirmed this information to the Banglanews after the Central Admission Test Committee held a meeting on Sunday (July 28) morning.
This year, admission test for eight faculties will be conducted under four units. Another department has been introduced for the new academic year. The newly approved Fine Arts Department under the Faculty of Arts has 30 seats.
Students will apply for 2305 seats in 34 departments under four units ---‘A’ unit (Theology Faculty), ‘B’ unit (Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty), ‘C’ unit (Business Administration Faculty) and ‘D’ unit (Applied Sciences and Technology faculty).
With the Central Admission Test Committee convenor and Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Dr Rashid Asker in the chair, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr Professor Shahinur Rahman, Treasurer Professor Dr. Selim Toha, Registrar (acting) SM Abdul Latif were present in the meeting.
IU student adviser Prof. Dr. Paresh Chandra Barman, Deputy Commissioner of Transport Dr Rezwanul Islam, Proctor (Acting) Dr. Anisur Rahman, Deans of various faculties, chairmen of departments and hall provosts were also present.
