Chittagong: Chittagong University authorities formed a four-member probe committee on Friday night to investigate Asaduzzaman murder, as the death of the student remained clouded in mystery.

The committee convener, professor Al-Amin, director of Forest and Environmental Science Institute, and other members visited the spot Saturday. 

Professor Al-Amin told banglanews, "We visited the spot and discussed the matter."

He also said, “As a 3-day mourning is being observed on the campus on the killing of the student, we could not talk to any witnesses yet.”

"After resumption the classes of the varsity, we will issue a notice asking information over the murder", he added.

Meanwhile, the Vice-Chancellor and the Proctor of CU received threat on their lives.

VC Abu Yousuf Alam said, "I got the threat over cell phone last night".

A general diary was filed Sunday with Hat-Hajari police station after the threat had been received.
