BARISHAL: The authorities of Barishal University (BU) have postponed admission tests scheduled to begin from October 18 citing “unavoidable circumstances.”
The tests have been postponed due to the vacant posts of Vice Chancellor and Registrar of the varsity.
On Sunday (October 8th), the information was confirmed in a notice signed by Dr Mohsin Uddin, the Dean of the University of Barishal and a member of the core committee of the first-year honors admission test 2019-20.
The notice stated that the revised admission tests schedule for "Ka, Kha, Ga & Gha" Units will be declared later in University Website: www.barisaluniv.edu.bd.
Arif Hossain, former president of the Barisal University Teachers' Association, said after a meeting regarding the admission test, the exams could not be started from October 18 as there was no Vice-Chancellor, Treasurer at the university.
Until the appointment of Vice-Chancellor, it is not known when the admission test will be held, he added.
