JAGANNATH UNIVERSITY: Jagannath University (JnU) on Thursday (Dec 12) asked all of its departments not to go for new enrolment for the evening courses.

JnU Vice Chancellor Prof Mijanur Rahman confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

Later, a press release was issued in this regard.

The press release says the new enrolment will be halted till further order. But those who have already been admitted in the evening courses, the university decided to complete the incumbent programmes.

JnU came up with the decision a day after the University Grants Commission (UGC) had issued a 13-point demand including closure of evening courses at the public universities.
