DHAKA: Education Minister Dipu Moni called upon the political parties to avoid programs during the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent exams.
She said: “The political parties should not announce any program, which troubles the students during the public exams.”
The minister made the remarks after inspecting the exam centre at Tejgaon Government Girls’ School in Dhaka on Monday morning.
She also warned of stern action against the rumour mongers over question paper leak.
A total of 20,47,779 students -- 10,24,363 boys and 10,23,416 girls – are taking part in the SSC and its equivalent examinations from 28,884 institutions.
Of the candidates, a total of 16,35,240 students sat for the SSC examinations under nine general education boards while 2,81,254 for Dakhil exams under Madrasa Education Board and 1,31,285 for vocational exam under Bangladesh Technical Education Board this year.
Besides, 342 students take part in the examination from abroad this year.
