DHAKA: Amid growing concern over the detection of three coronavirus-infected patients in Bangladesh, Health Minister Zahid Maleque said all educational institutions will run on a regular basis.
No outsiders come to school and colleges. So there is less risks, said the minister.
The minister told media after a meeting at his ministry in the capital on Monday (March 9).
We have told the Ministry of Education that hand sanitizers are to given to all educational institutions, including schools and colleges, so that children wash their hands. This message should be conveyed to all families. Schools will run normally. If the instruction comes next time, the Ministry of Education will decide, added the minister.
In an outbreak of the coronavirus, the death toll worldwide reached 3,831 as 26 more died on Monday (March 9). Some 148 new cases of infection were confirmed, bringing the total to 110,098. Of them 62,302 were recovered.
