DHAKA: The results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations were published on Sunday morning (May 31) with overall pass percentage of 82.87.
A total of 1,35,898 students got GPA-5 this year.
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni announced the results in a press conference at secretariat in the capital.
Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the results from Ganabhaban at 10am.
This year the student pass rate of Cumilla Board was 85.22% Chattogram- 84.75%, Dinajpur- 82.73%, Mymensingh- 80.13%, Sylhet- 78.79%, Barishal- 79.70%, Jashore- 87.31%.
Some 10,245 students attained A+ from Cumilla Board, 9,008 from Chattogram, 12,086 from Dinajpur, 7.434 from Mymensingh, 4,263 from Sylhet, 4,483 from Barishal and 13,764 from Jashore.
The results will not be sent to educational institutions this year to avoid gatherings amid the coronavirus outbreak across the country.
This year the results of SSC and equivalent exams will reach examinees or their guardians via SMS.
The education boards conducted pre-registration of candidates to provide the results, which was continue till 24 hours before publication of the results.
To avail the results via SMS, a student will have to type SSC (space) first three letters of board (space) roll number (space) exam year and send to 16222 from any mobile phone at a cost of Tk 2.55.
The candidates also can visit the website http://www.educationboardresults.gov.bd/ to get their SSC and equivalent exams results.
A total of 20,47,779 students–10,24,363 boys and 10,23,416 girls–took part in the examinations held between February 3 and 27 across the country.
