DHAKA: A panel discussion on ‘Online Education in Bangladesh: Prospects and Challenges’ was organized at Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) under the supervision of Center for Career Development (CCD) on Sunday (May 31).
Professor Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir, Vice Chancellor of GUB attended it as the chief guest while Professor Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque, Pro-Vice Chancellor was special guest. Dr. Md Nazmus Sadekin, Dean, Faculty of Social Science, Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University; S. M Arifuzzman, Director, Academic Affairs and Head of Department of Business School of Canadian University of Bangladesh and Dr. Sadik Hasan, Associate Professor, Department of Public Administration, University of Dhaka were present as the Panel Discussant of the seminar.
The seminar was enrolled by the presence of Dean, Chairpersons, Faculty Members and many others from different sectors. Dr. Dr. Khan Sarfaraz Ali, Director of Center for Career Development (CCD) of Green University conducted the seminar session.
In seminar, Panel Discussant highlighted the vast platform of e-learning with huge prospective in higher education. They said that, Online Teaching and Learning is a big challenge for Bangladesh. Besides this, Universities of Bangladesh haven’t faced such disruption in past. So, respective authority of all universities should sincerely consider the matter of Covid-19 and take the appropriate initiatives regarding online learning.
