Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations would not be held this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

However, aspirants would be evaluated in a new and different way, she said while addressing an online press conference on Wednesday.

Dipu Moni said HSC candidates would be evaluated by averaging the results of their JSC and SSC examinations. 

The results would be announced within December, the minister added.
