Canceling an earlier decision to open the dormitories of Dhaka University on March 13, authorities decided to open the halls on May 17. 

Besides, the ongoing examinations will continue under the managements of the respective departments of the university.

The developments came from an urgent academic council meeting of the university on Tuesday morning.

Sources from the meeting said that students will be given the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine a month prior to the reopening of dorms.
