The education ministry on Wednesday said authorities will continue holding the ongoing examinations of the seven Dhaka University-affiliated colleges.

M A Khayer, public relations officer of the ministry, confirmed the matter. 

The decision comes from an emergency virtual meeting following demonstration staged by the students of the colleges.

Earlier in the day, students of Dhaka University-affiliated colleges blocked the Nilkhet intersection in the capital demanding for the examinations.

Dhaka University authorities decided in a meeting with the principals of the colleges to postpone the exams yesterday.
