The ongoing closure of the educational institutions at secondary and higher secondary level has been extended till June 30.
The decision was taken as the corona situation in different parts of the country worsened, said MA Khayer, public relations officer of Education Ministry.
The ministry issued a press release in this regard.
According to the release, the Covid-19 situation worsened in some districts and lockdown has been imposed in many areas. Considering the health security of students, teachers, staff and guardians, and following advice of Covid-19 technical committee, the closure has been extended.
Primary, secondary and higher secondary level institutions across the country were supposed to reopen on 13 June if the Covid-19 situation improves.
But Covid-19 cases have increased in bordering areas as the infection rate has risen alarmingly.
