The government has extended holiday of educational institutions across the country till September 11 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. 

The decision was made on Thursday (Aug 26) in a virtual meeting of the government policymakers over preparation for the opening of educational institutions. 

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Zakir Hossain, UGC Chairman, secretaries of the two ministries, VCs of different universities and officials concerned joined the meeting.

Following the meeting, public relations officer of education ministry MA Khair and public relations officer at primary and mass education ministry Rabindranath Roy confirmed the matter.

Earlier on July 29, the government h extended closure of educational institutions across the country till August 31. 

Many educational institutions are currently conducting classes online and through television broadcast.
