The Daily Sun Editor Enamul Hoque Chowdhury has been made the new Syndicate Member and the Academic Council Member of World University of Bangladesh (WUB), a prestigious private university in Dhaka.
The Board of Trustees of the World University of Bangladesh has nominated Enamul Hoque Chowdhury as the Syndicate member under sections 17 of sub-section ‘Gha’ of the Private University Act 2010 and member of Academic Council under sections 17 of sub-section ‘Cha’ of the Private University Act 2010.
He will be the member of Academic Council and the Syndicate of the university for the next two years, according to a notification of the World University of Bangladesh.
Prior to joining the Daily Sun, Enamul Hoque Chowdhury served as the Minister (Press) at the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi. He was a former commissioner of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).
In his long journalistic career, he worked for different national and international media outlets, including Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), Bangladesh Observer, Daily News (now defunct), The Independent (now defunct), Desh TV, Reuters and Bdnews24.com.
