A student of the University of Asia Pacific died after falling from the university building on Dhaka's Green Road on Thursday morning.

Imam Hossain (23), a third-year student of Computer Science and Engineering fell from the building around 8:00am. 

Imran, son of Aktar Hossain, hailed from Paschim Char Umed village at Lalmohan Upazila in Bhola. 

Fayseluzzaman, admin officer of the university said the student was seen, in CCTV footage, jumping off the sixth floor of the nine-storey building. 

He was rushed to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the duty doctor declared him dead at 10:00 am.

The body was later sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy, Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH Police outpost.
