University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) in association with the Rotary Club of Dhaka Kawran Bazar and Rotary club of Dhaka Mahanagar organized an event to mark the World Environment Day 2022’ on June 8 at ULAB Research Building, Dhaka.
Professor Dr. Pinki Shah, Department of Business Administration, ULAB gave the opening remarks. Rtn. Mustasim Billah Faruqui, District Governor, RID-3281, Bangladesh, Rtn. Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, Editor, The Daily Observer, and Professor Imran Rahman, Vice-Chancellor, ULAB spoke in the program.
This year the theme of the World Environment Day was ‘only one earth’. The guests spoke about the greater cause of ‘Environment’ 3Rs- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle climate change and its impact on human life is a serious concern.
In the event Professor Dr. Pinki Shah also presented a paper titled “3R’s in Planet Preservation- Making Peace with Nature”. Ms. Tahura Farbin presented a paper on Circular Economy. ULAB’s students also gave presentation on some environmental topics. Dr. Imran Hossain gave the closing remarks.
ULAB’s faculty members, officials, Rotary leaders from Rotary Club of Dhaka Kawran Bazar and Rotary club of Dhaka Mahanagar, and students among others were present in the programme.
