A Chittagong University (CU) teacher was killed when a microbus hit his motorbike on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Aftab Hossain, 41, an assistant professor of CU's zoology department and son of Imam Hossain.

Chittagong Medical College Hospital Police Box Sub-Inspector (SI) Nurul Alam Ashek and Chittagong University Proctor Dr. Rabiul Hasan Bhuiyan confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

According to them, a microbus private car hit his bike in front of CU's gate No 1 around 12 midnight, leaving him injured.

Aftab was taken to Chattogram Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared him dead, they added.
