Lyricist and journalist Omar Farook Bishal died in a road accident in Narsingdi on Monday (Nov 7).

The incident took place in Narsingdi around 10:00 am, while Omar Farook was returning to Dhaka, on a motorcycle with his friend.

Bhairav Highway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mozammel Haque confirmed the matter.

His friend Imam Hossain Sajal was critically injured, he said, adding the injured was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
