A Dhaka court today (May 20) placed singer Mainul Ahsan Noble on a one-day remand in a fraud case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ahmed Humayun Kabir passed the order.
Earlier today, Humayun Kabir, an inspector of Detective Branch of Police and also the investigation officer in the case, produced Noble before the court with a three-day remand prayer.
Later, the court granted one-day remand prayer after hearing both sides.
Singer Mainul Ahsan Noble was arrested by the Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police on Saturday (May 20) on charge of cheating by taking an advance of Tk 1,72,000 without going to an event.
Earlier on May 16, a fraud case was lodged against Noble with the Motijheel Police Station.
According to the case statement, Noble was supposed to perform at an event. Later, he took money for the show but he did not perform.
