Over the last month, the internet has witnessed a profound transformation with the surge of deepfake videos, a technological phenomenon that blurs the line between reality and fiction. 

A video of Kajol’s deepfake video has now gone viral across all social media platforms.

Adding to the latest string of deepfake controversies, a manipulated video of Kajol has surfaced online. The original clip features influencer Rosie Breen who shared the clip on TikTok as part of the ‘Get Ready With Me’ trend.

The new video comes amidst growing concerns around deepfake after a clip of another popular actor, Rashmika Mandanna, went viral. The deepfake features Breen’s face being replaced with that of Kajol. The clip showed the 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' actor changing clothes on camera.

As per the fact-checking platform BOOM, the original video was of a social media influencer, and Kajol’s face had been morphed into the video. For a split second, the manipulated video features the face of the original woman. The report claims that the original video was uploaded on TikTok on June 5 as part of the “Get Ready With Me” (GRWM) trend.
