DHAKA: In ‘Frozen’s sixth week of release the Disney animated film regains the No.1 spot, freezing over the debuting horror ‘The Marked Ones’.
‘Frozen’ ices the rest of its competition at this weekend’s box office by regaining the No.1 position.
The Disney animated adventure film, which acquires the voices of Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad, brought in an impressive $20.7 million in its sixth week of release.
‘Frozen’ has now earned a domestic total of $297.8 million and is expected to reach the $300 million mark in the next couple of days.
The retelling of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale, The Snow Queen, follows ‘Princess Anna’ (Bell), the future Queen of Arendelle, along with mountain man ‘Kristoff’ (Groff) races against time to prevent her sister, ‘Elsa’ (Menzel), from unwittingly turning the kingdom into an eternally icy realm, along the way ‘Anna’ meets new friends and learns vital life lessons.
The latest instalment of the frightening ‘Paranormal Activity’ franchise, ‘The Marked Ones’, which is a spin-off/stand-alone story, debuted at No.2 with $18.2 million.
It follows young Latin American teen Jesse (Andrew Jacobs) as he is possessed by the same demon as the one who claimed Kristi and Katie.
