Noted Rabindra Sangeet singer Sadi Mohammad Sadi Mohammad was laid to rest at the Mohammadpur Jame Masjid Complex Graveyard in the capital on Thursday.

He was buried following his namaz-e-janaza at 2pm after Zuhar prayers.

The legendary singer died on Wednesday evening. His body was found hanging in his residence in Mohammadpur and taken to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital in the capital.

Rabindra Sangeet musician, teacher, and composer Sadi Mohammad completed his graduation and post-graduation in Rabindra Sangeet from Visva-Bharati University in India. He had lent his voice to playback numbers in numerous films and dramas.

He was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award by Channel i in 2017 and received Rabindra Award by Bangla Academy in 2015.
