The Chamber Court of the Appellate Division today (May 27) stayed High Court's order which restrained the General Secretary of the Bangladesh Film Artists Association (BFAA) Dipjol from holding the post for 8 weeks.

Justice M Enayetur Rahim passed the order.

There is no legal bar for Dipjol to hold general secretary post of BFAA.

Following a writ petition filed by actor Nasrin Akhter Nipun, the HC on May 20 issued the ruling for the next six months.

After that, actor Dipjol yesterday submitted the petition through senior Advocate Jainul Abedin challenging the HC order.
