DHAKA: An 11-day art show ‘Ways of Seeing’ is being held at Bengal Art Lounge in city’s Gulshan area.
The Bengal Art Lounge has planned to welcome the New Year with a series of exhibitions from private collections under the title of ‘Ways of Seeing’.
Current show of the series begins with a selection of artworks from the collection of Durjoy Rahman Joy, managing director of Winners Creations Ltd and also an owner of a private gallery, called Gallery Winners.
A total of 42 artworks are on display.
The art-lovers will get the opportunity to see some selected works by Professor Abdur Razzaq, Mohammad, Kibria, Aminul Islam, Safiuddin Ahmed, Rafiqun Nabi, Murtaja Baseer, Shahabuddin and Monirul Islam, among others.
Some artworks by Picasso, Henry Moore, Francis Bacon and Jamini Roy are also on display.
According to the organisers, the exhibition focuses on the eminent artists of Bangladesh as well as a selection of portraits.
As a part of the exhibition, the organisers will arrange a discussion on art collection at 6:00pm on January 31 at the Lounge.
The exhibition, dedicated to the late artist Aminul Islam, will remain open from 12:00pm to 8:00pm till February 3.
