DHAKA: Sumon Yusuf’s maiden photography exhibition titled ‘Life & Struggle of Padma’ is being held at Alliance Française de Dhaka’s La Galerie in city’s Dhanmondi area.
Twenty photographs are on display to be continued till February 6.
Sumon Yusuf has tried to present the universal relationship between once mighty river Padma and people, the organizers say in a release.
According to the photographer, the photographs will not only be an object of aesthetic delight for the viewers but also help create awareness among people to come forward to save the dying river Padma.
Professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed inaugurated the exhibition as chief guest on Friday. He was accompanied by Systech Unimax Ltd managing director Qudrat E Khoda as special guest and columnist Raana Haider and Alliance Française de Dhaka executive committee president Abdul Majid Chowdhury.
The exhibition will remain open from 3:00pm to 9:00pm every day and from 9:00am to 12:00pm and from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Sundays will be closed.
