DHAKA: Naomi Watts is reportedly in talks to take on Tippi Hedren’s iconic role in a remake of Alfred Hitchcock thriller ‘The Birds’.

The movie classic is set for a revamp by blockbuster moviemaker Michael Bay and his Platinum Dunes company, although he won’t direct the film, that task will fall to Dutchman Diederik Van Rooijen.

The Birds was loosely based on a story by Daphne du Maurier.

Sienna Miller previously portrayed Hedren in TV movie ‘The Girl’, which centred on Hitchcock’s obsession with his leading lady as they filmed ‘The Birds’.
