DHAKA: Singer Chris Brown has been released from jail, according to a US report.
The beleaguered R&B star was freed in the early hours of Monday morning after serving 108 days of his 131-day sentence, according to Tmz.com, reports contactmusic.com.
Brown has been behind bars since March after a judge sentenced him to jail time following his dismissal from a rehab clinic for breaking the facility's rules.
He had been facing a year in prison, but he got credit for 116 days in court-ordered rehab and another 59 days he spent in custody last month as part of his probation violation case, which stemmed from his 2009 assault conviction for attacking his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
The 25 year old is still facing an assault trial in Washington, DC over allegations he attacked a man during an unprovoked altercation in October.
