DHAKA: Star Cineplex arranged the Dhaka-premiere of ‘X-MEN: Days of Future Past’ in 3D at its halls at Bashundhra City Shopping Mall in city’s Panthapath area.

This Hollywood blockbuster sequel movie was premiered Wednesday evening.

It will be screened at 11:00am, 1:45pm, 4:30pm and 7:15pm regularly from Friday onwards.

‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ is a 2014 American superhero film, based on the fictional X-Men characters appearing in Marvel Comics.

The film was directed by Bryan Singer and acts as a sequel to both 2006’s ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’ and 2011’s ‘X-Men: First Class’.

It is overall the seventh installment of the X-Men film series.

The story, inspired by the 1981 Uncanny X-Men storyline ‘Days of Future Past’ by Chris Claremont and John Byrne, focuses on two time periods and Wolverine being sent to 1973 to save the future of mutantkind.

The film stars an ensemble cast, including Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Nicholas Hoult, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart.

The story was conceived by Simon Kinberg, Matthew Vaughn, and Jane Goldman, with Kinberg writing the screenplay.

The film was premiered in New York City on May 10, 2014 and was officially released on May 23, 2014, says Wikipedia.
