DHAKA: After breaking box office records, Walt Disney Co’s animated film ‘Frozen’ is also scoring ticket sales records for a touring ice-skating show.

Disney On Ice Presents Frozen, which started touring in the United States last September, has sold 250,000 tickets on the first day of sales, Bloomberg quoted Nicole Feld, executive vice president of Feld Entertainment Inc, as saying. The company produces the show.

The show also sold 700,000 tickets in its first week of sales, according to Forbes magazine. Feld expects more than a million guests to see the show by the end of the year.

‘We have never quite seen the onslaught of ticket sales like we have seen for Frozen,’ Feld said in an interview with Bloomberg TV on Monday, The Straits Times publishes this report on Tuesday.
