DHAKA: The double Oscar winning Indian composer AR Rahman is celebrating his birthday Tuesday.

He literally stormed into the film industry with his fresh music in Roja in 1992 and since then there was no looking back.

Winner of double Oscars under the same category, AR Rahman is the first Asian to achieve this dubious distinction.

He has several national and international awards to his credit which proves his talent and versatility.

Year 2015 will be very special for AR Rahman as three of his soundtracks - The 100 foot Journey, Million Dollar Arm and Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiiyaan - have made it to the probable Oscar nomination list, reports tamilcinema24.com.
