DHAKA: A two-day music festival titled ‘Satyen Sen Ganasangeet Utsab’ and a national competition of ‘ganasangeet’ will be held in city from March 27.

The festival, to be organized by cultural organization Udichi, will pay tribute to its founder Satyen Sen, said a press release on Tuesday.

However, the ganasangeet competition for Dhaka Division was arranged at the auditorium of music and dance deparment of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in city’s Segun bagicha area on the day.

The competitions were also arranged in the other divisions across the country, the release added.

Winners from the divisional level will compete at the academy’s music and dance deparment auditorium on March 27.

According to the release, eminent ganasangeet singer Shubhaprasad Nandi Majumdar of India will attend this year’s festival.
