DHAKA: The second Hill Film Festival, presenting films by directors with ethnic identities, will begin in Rangamati from April 2.
Seven feature films and at least 26 short films are set to be screened at the Cultural Institute auditorium during the festival.
Moreover, the festival will include a workshop on filmmaking, to be conducted by Aung Rakhaine.
‘Debongsi Ahdhar Kala Chhaba’ directed by Tarun Chakma Manibo, ‘Mor Thenggari’ by Aung Rakhaine and ‘Parbatya Chattagramer Tripura Janagoshthi’ by Manoj Bahadur will be screened on the inaugural day of the festival.
On the second day, the organizers will screen ‘Mor Thenggari’ by Aung Rakhaine, ‘Ranajit Dewan: A Living Legend of Chakma Music’ by Jimmy Chakma and Salit Chakma, Khumi Ai Amnai Rita’ by Ittukgulo Chakma and ‘Dulu Humari’ by Tarun Chakma Manibo.
Everyday the screening will begin at 4:00pm.
Moreover, people, who are interested in attending the workshop, can enroll their names with a registration fee of Tk 200.
