DHAKA: Noted Bangladeshi film actress Parvin Sultana Diti breathed her last at United Hospital in city on Sunday afternoon (March 20).
She was 52.
Dr Shagufa Anwar, chief communications and business development of the hospital, confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Diti left a son and a daughter and thousands of her well-wishers to mourn her death.
Mentioning that Diti passed away at 4:05pm, Dr Shagufa added said she went into comma a few days ago.
Diti was suffering from brain tumor. She was admitted to Madras Institute of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (MIOT) in India on July 26 last year.
She returned to Bangladesh on September 20 that year after surgery and chemotherapy there.
She, however, once again fell sick as a side effect of chemotherapy and admitted to Square Hospitals in city on October 30 in 2015.
Later, the popular actress was taken to Chennai on November 3.
She acted in over 200 cinemas and many television dramas.
