DHAKA: A center for the advancement of Southasian culture called ‘Shadhona’ will organize a two-day dance festival by presenting 50th presentation of its ‘Nupur Beje Jai’.
The program will be held at Bangladesh National Museum Auditorium from Sunday to Monday (May 29 to 30).
Everyday the program will begin at 7:00pm and continue till 9:00pm.
On the opening day, India’s well-acclaimed maestro Ashimbandhu Bhattacharjee and his troupe will present Kathak dance and a Kathak-based dance drama ‘Pratibimba’.
A creative dance piece to be directed by UK choreographer Kathleen Weitz, contemporary dance pieces by Bangladeshi artistes and a piece of Bharatnatyam by Kolpotoru will be staged on the concluding day of the festival.
Moreover, a photography exhibition on two decades of Shadhona will also be arranged during the festival.
